It may be said that you can’t get a treadmill for under $100 but that may only be true if you’re not willing to look hard enough and long enough.

You also may have to be willing to purchase a used treadmill or a discontinued model; which, in both cases I might add, your body will not know nor care if it is losing calories with last year’s model treadmill.

So what does $100 or less buy you when looking for a treadmill?  You may be surprised. My first thought was that contraption that I always used to think was all I could afford when it came to treadmills; no electricity and manual crank to raise the “hill” you climb.

These tend to be jerky and inconsistent in walking but if you can find a higher end manual model you can find some that, even as a manual version, aren’t completely hard to move the mat and sticks as you walk or run.

Your only real option is to find a used treadmill online and that’s going to be hit or miss; completely dependent upon looking at the same time someone puts one up on a bidding site or garage sale type site.


Your best bet also is finding one on something like Craig’s List where you are buying local because buying a used treadmill means buying something electronic which could have issues.  You can also avoid huge shipping costs when buying locally also.  Treadmills are heavy items so shipping costs are not going to be cheap if you’re forced to find one online.

Your next best option is finding a treadmill on sale for under $100 or around that pricing level.  This is also not impossible, but again you are going to have to be diligent in searching continuously to find one and sometimes willing to buy a used treadmill.
